Why I built CertOnyx

I've spent years leading mid-size and large-scale projects across major organizations — the kind of work these certifications are actually supposed to prepare you for. Along the way, I earned the PMP, Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner certifications, and the IBM Generative AI for Project Managers credential myself, sitting through the same study grind every candidate goes through.
When I went looking for prep tools, I found the same problem everywhere: question banks that were outdated, generated in bulk with little real review, and explanations that confirmed the right answer without ever teaching you why the others were wrong. CertOnyx's PMP and Scrum content is built and verified against the official PMBOK Guide, the current PMI exam content outline, and the official Scrum Guide — reviewed by someone who has actually done the work these credentials represent, not just generated content and moved on.
And because I split my time between English and French, I noticed a second gap: French-speaking candidates are usually an afterthought, served with machine-translated leftovers instead of real, professionally adapted content. CertOnyx treats French as a first-class language, not a checkbox.
Content quality
Every PMP question on CertOnyx is written or reviewed against the current PMI exam content outline — PMBOK 8th Edition and the July 2026 update. Every Scrum question is built against the official Scrum Guide. Explanations don't just confirm the right answer — they explain why the other options are wrong, so you actually understand the material, not just memorize a key.
What we won't do
No streaks, badges, or gamified noise. Studying for a real certification isn't a game, and treating it like one doesn't help you pass.
No fabricated pass-rate claims or "you're 94% ready" predictions. We show you honest, band-based readiness signals — always with a clear reminder that practice accuracy isn't a guarantee of exam results.
No machine-translated French. Every word is written or reviewed by someone fluent in both the language and the subject matter.
CertOnyx exists to give PMP, Scrum Master, and Scrum Product Owner candidates — in English or French — a genuinely honest, well-built way to prepare, without the gimmicks or the guesswork.
